Back by popular demand, MPIF will be providing an opportunity to bring together delegates and spouses to give back to the local Louisville community. This year, MPIF is partnering with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. Their mission is to provide a home and support that allows families to stay together while they focus on the healing of their sick children at a critical time.
Last year, we put together over 550 goodie bags, help us prepare even more goodies bags this year!
MPIF asks that each attendee bring along 1-2 bags of candy or individual treats to the conference. Individually wrapped treats can include granola bars, individual bags of chips or crackers, fruit snacks, cereal or protein bars, small individual boxes of cereal, etc. You can drop off your items at the registration desk. Then we will gather as a group to package up the individual bags, attached a note of encouragement that we can donate to the families and their sick children.
While the group is preparing the goodies bag, we are pleased to have a special guest speaker, Travis Stone, joining us. Travis, an 18-year veteran on the mic, is “the voice of Churchill Downs.” Travis has been calling the races at Churchill Down since 2015, including the famous Kentucky Derby. Travis will be joining us to provide insights on the horse racing community, the history of racing, how he got his start, and more. Travis will also be calling the races on Sunday, October 29, while we are there for our networking event. Travis will provide some winning tips for the races that we will be watching live.
