PM Sintering Seminar Concludes

2018 PM Sintering SeminarThis year's Powder Metallurgy (PM) Sintering Seminar, held September 25–26 in State College, Pennsylvania, was another rousing success. The seminar attracted over 65 attendees with backgrounds and experience levels ranging from entry level to experienced, and over half of the attendees reported being involved in engineering. Other areas such as quality assurance, production, sales, and management were also represented. One of the best statistics to come out of the course evaluation was that 100% of the attendees would recommend the course to others.

Topics included conventional sintering furnaces, high-temperature sintering, sintering atmospheres, and sintering of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The speakers held an impressive combined industry experience totaling over 250 years and provided valuable on-the-job knowledge for attendees to obtain an understanding of sintering processes. The PM Sintering Seminar is specifically designed for those who want to expand their knowledge of sintering technology, enhance their opportunities to advance, and for those who are looking to deepen their understanding in this fundamental aspect of PM.

This biennial seminar has provided education to parts and product fabricators and a variety of professionals throughout the PM industry since 1989. If you missed this seminar, be sure to visit the MPIF website's Events page for the latest schedule of courses!

You won't want to miss the Robotics & Automation in Powder Metallurgy – the first one in over a decade! Participation in many of our courses also counts toward PMT Re-Certification credits.
