PURPOSE
To recognize individuals contributing to the expansion of automotive powder metal applications.
ADMINISTRATION AND PRESENTATION
This award will be an appropriate certificate which will include a standard citation, the recipient's name, the date of the award and the signatures of the MPIF President and Executive Director. The presentation shall be made by the President of Metal Powder Industries Federation at an appropriate function during the Society of Automotive Engineers' Annual Conference and Exposition.
The award is not limited to one per year and is not necessarily given every year.
ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS
To receive consideration, a candidate must be an active employee of automotive OEM manufacturers and/or first tier suppliers. Recipients, at the time of selection, must be still active in their sphere of contribution.
The contribution may include R&D work, process improvements, new assembly or part designs which promote acceptance of PM parts.
METHOD OF SELECTION
The MPIF Industry Development Board may submit up to three names (which may be prioritized) to the MPIF Awards Committee with supporting information.
Candidates may be generated by the MPIF Awards Committee for IDB consideration.
The MPIF Awards Committee will recommend recipient (or recipients) to the MPIF Board of Governors for final approval.
Submittal deadline to the MPIF Awards Committee is September 30 each year.
