In addition to corporate membership in the six associations that make up the Federation, there are three other membership options:

Corporate Affiliate Membership

This membership is designed for companied that want to be kept abreast of PM technology and industry developments but who do not fit within the scope of any of the six federated MPIF associations. Corporate Affiliate members make or use the full range of PM products or processes including direct powder rolling, rapid solidification, selective laser sintering, additive manufacturing, spray forming, or mechanical alloying. Products include intermetallics, superconductors, thermal spray powders, nanomaterials, composites, cermets, metal fibers, aerospace engine components, and other advanced materials.

Corporate Affiliate members have full voting privileges and can serve on MPIF committees and boards.

Associate/Consultant Membership

The Associate/Consultant members of the Metal Powder Industries Federation provide a variety of services including development and implementation of new technology, plant setup, part and tool design, laboratory service, market research, automation and SPC, injection molding, magnetic applications, personnel training, and research and development programs.

Associate/Overseas Membership

Companies located outside of North America (and are not eligible for membership in an association that accepts overseas members) is eligible for an Associate/Overseas membership in the Federation. Associate/Overseas members enjoy most of the same benefits of corporate membership except voting privileges.
